New in aNewSpring - September 2013

 Develop content faster and easier

On Tuesday the 24th of September we will launch a new version of aNewSpring! Two weeks ago we told you about the changes that will be visible for your learners and today we introduce you to the other improvements.

Our developers worked really hard on improving the usability of the pages under the content tab. Because of that it will be a lot easier to develop content in an easy and structured way.

New content page lay out

Under the tab content you will be able to see the column 'In use', which allows you to see which template is used in a content file. This will help you manage the content of content files and templates.

Define your own ideal content structure

After our release the author will be able to create a file structure by himself. The terms subject, file and sub file will no longer be used or shown to aNewSpring users anymore. Also, the author can define his or her own ideal content structure. This content can be filled in and customized when content is already being used in published templates.

Within the new structure the author can create, move and delete content easily with the help of new screens. These screens give an example of the content that can be created thanks to simple illustrations. Furthermore, it will be possible to move complete files within a structure.

The buttons import, export, statistics, configure, copy and delete have been moved to the top right side of the manage content page. Files, certificates, SCORM, glossaries and exam terms can be managed under the various tabs on the manage content page. Before the update these functionalities could be found under the content tab.
